September 5: General Meeting: Jerry Hightower, Environmental Education Coordinator, National Park Service will speak on the planned renovation of the historic Allenbrook house: Allenbrook; Past, Present, & Future. Also speaking will be our own Janet Johnson, Cemetery Project Committee Chair. July 27: Oakland Cemetery Tour Meet 9AM at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center (950 Forrest St., Roswell 30075) Meet up at the Roswell CAC parking lot at 9:00 AM to coordinate a car pool. Guided Tour at 10:00 am. Tickets are $12.00 adult and $6.00 Seniors (you pay for your own ticket when you arrive.
April 4 General Meeting:Meet us at the Roswell Convention & Visitor Bureau (617 S. Atlanta St., Roswell 30075) for a behind the scenes tour of the historic 585-605 s. Atlanta Street (Public House block) renovations by Taylor Smith of Terminus Squared. Doors open 1:30 (refreshments) Tour begins 2:00 PM. Parking available behind the CVB.

September 15:Tour of Homes 11AM-5PM- The 2018 tour will provide a rare chance to see inside some of the historic, new and restored homes that make Roswell so special. Ticket prices are $30 per person in advance. Transportation to each home will be provided by trolleys.
October 6: Old Roswell Cemetery Cleaning day 9:30-11:30 November 1:Business Meeting: 7 PM Roswell Adult Recreation Center*, Dinner at 5:30 PM, meeting begins 6:45.
November 11: General Meeting: 2:00 - 4:30 PM Alpharetta City Hall In conjunction with the Alpharetta and John's Creek Historical Societies, we will commemorate Veteran's Day with an observance of the armistice of WWI. Michael Hitt will speak beginning at 2:30PM; the Alpharetta History Room will be open before and after the speaker. (Address: 2 Park Plaza, Alpharetta, GA 30009).
November 17: Scanning Event: 10:00-3:00PM Roswell Cultural Arts Center 2nd floor (City of Roswell Research Library & Archives). Bring your photographs and documents that relate to the history of Roswell. Images of street scenes, local events, and longtime residents are wanted to be included in the collections of the Research Library and Archives and Digital Library of Georgia. Documents, such as family or land records, are also needed for our family and residence files. Participants are to limit the amount of material to 10 items for this event. Appointments are available for those who have a significant amount of material to donate or who are unavailable on November 17.
